The context table itself is malformed

ERROR_FLT_INVALID_CONTEXT_REGISTRATION indicates invalid data in the context registration array supplied through FLT_REGISTRATION. The entries define context type, flags, fixed or variable size, pool tag, cleanup routine, and optional allocate/free callbacks. Unsupported types, invalid flag combinations, missing callbacks, or incompatible size rules make the table unsafe for Filter Manager to use.

The failure occurs during registration, before ordinary I/O callbacks should run. Debug the final initialized structure rather than the source template alone: conditional compilation, structure-version mismatches, an omitted terminator, or storage that was not zero-initialized can change fields seen by FltRegisterFilter.
