WU_E_UPDATE_NOT_PROCESSED means the agent did not process the selected update. This is a final status, so the useful diagnosis is the earlier reason the item was skipped, rejected, cancelled, or found inapplicable.
How to investigate
- Look for the first message concerning the same update ID in
WindowsUpdate.log. - Check whether the update was hidden, superseded, not approved, or excluded by policy or applicability rules.
- Verify the per-update result rather than assuming that the whole update operation failed.
