WU_E_SIH_INVALIDHASH
WU_E_SIH_INVALIDHASH means an SIH download failed an integrity check. A completed transfer is not sufficient: the client rejects content whose calculated hash does not match the expected value.
What to do
- Identify the affected file and source in the SIH or Windows Update logs.
- Reacquire the content through the approved update channel; do not bypass the hash check or copy a guessed replacement file.
- If the failure occurs on several clients, investigate a shared proxy, cache, storage system, or publishing process.
