What does HRESULT 0x80280008 (TPM_E_DISABLED_CMD) mean?

TPM_E_DISABLED_CMD

TPM_E_DISABLED_CMD means the target TPM 1.2 command is disabled. Unlike TPM_E_DISABLED, this does not by itself mean the entire TPM is disabled; the TPM can be present and other commands can work while a specific operation is unavailable.

Legacy TPM 1.2 commands may be blocked by ownership configuration, platform policy, firmware settings, or the implementation’s supported command set. The command ordinal and the TPM capability information are therefore essential evidence.
