ERROR_NDIS_BUFFER_TOO_SHORT The caller did not supply enough memory for the requested data or response. This commonly occurs with variable-length OID data, arrays, or a structure revision larger than expected.
What to check
- Use the returned required length when the API exposes BytesNeeded or an equivalent field.
- Do not truncate variable-length data to fit a guessed fixed-size buffer.
- Check both input and output buffer contracts when a request can return data as well as consume it.
