STATUS_NO_TOKEN
No token is associated with the requested context
This status is returned when code tries to use a token where no token is present for the selected object or thread state. It is commonly a context-selection error: primary token versus impersonation token, process versus thread, or handle versus current subject context.
Do not collapse it into access denied. There may be no token to authorize with, rather than a token that failed an access check.
What to inspect
- Identify whether the caller expected a primary token, an impersonation token, or a token handle.
- Check whether impersonation was reverted before the query.
- Preserve the object type and handle source because token handles have their own access rights.
