STATUS_PRINT_QUEUE_FULL
The print queue cannot accept another job
This status reports a queue-capacity limit rather than a paper or printer-engine failure. The limit can be imposed by the spooler, a remote print server, a legacy protocol, or a device that exposes only a bounded number of pending commands.
Determine whether jobs are actively draining or stuck in spooling, printing, deleting, or error states. Increasing a limit without clearing the underlying blockage can consume more disk space and memory. On shared servers, identify the owners and sizes of retained jobs before removing them.
What to inspect
- Enumerate queue positions, statuses, owners, sizes, and submission times.
- Check printer and port health to determine why completed jobs are not leaving the queue.
- Cancel only confirmed stale jobs and preserve evidence for recurring queue saturation.
