What does NTSTATUS 0xC0000295 (STATUS_WMI_GUID_NOT_FOUND) mean?

STATUS_FILE_ENCRYPTED STATUS_WMI_INSTANCE_NOT_FOUND

STATUS_WMI_GUID_NOT_FOUND

The provider did not register the requested WMI GUID

Kernel WMI requests are routed to a registered provider and identify a data block or event set by GUID. This status means the target provider could not match the supplied GUID to the registration information it exposed. It is more specific than a missing WMI class in a repository: the failure can occur in the kernel provider path after a device object has registered with WMI.

Compare the request GUID with the provider's WMIREGGUID entries and the registration data returned for IRP_MN_REGINFO. A stale consumer, changed driver version, or request sent to the wrong device instance can all select a GUID the provider does not own.
