STATUS_NOT_REDUNDANT_STORAGE
The storage path has no redundant copy for the requested operation
This status means the device or virtual disk does not provide the redundancy required by the operation. Checksums can detect corruption, but automatic repair requires an independent valid copy, such as mirror or parity data supplied by Storage Spaces.
Do not interpret a healthy single disk as redundant storage. The logical volume layout, resiliency setting, and current member health all matter. A degraded mirror may also temporarily lack enough copies to perform a repair even though it was originally created as resilient.
What to inspect
- Inspect the virtual disk resiliency type and operational health.
- Verify that all expected physical disks are present and communicating.
- Use backup or application-level replicas when storage redundancy is unavailable.
