STATUS_CLOUD_FILE_VALIDATION_FAILED
This status is about integrity confirmation after data transfer. With the VALIDATION_REQUIRED hydration modifier, the platform can require the provider to retrieve data it previously supplied and acknowledge that the required range is valid before completing the user I/O.
Treat it as distinct from a network failure or a malformed request. Preserve the file identity, requested byte range, transfer result, and provider integrity evidence. Do not mark the placeholder in sync merely because some bytes were downloaded; validation applies to the requested data path.
Useful checks
- Correlate the failure with the callback's file identity, transfer key, and required range.
- Verify the provider's hash, signature, or version test before acknowledging data.
- Retry only with a new verified transfer path; repeated acknowledgement of the same unvalidated bytes hides the real fault.
