What does NTSTATUS 0xC002000D (RPC_NT_TYPE_ALREADY_REGISTERED) mean?

RPC_NT_TYPE_ALREADY_REGISTERED

RPC_NT_TYPE_ALREADY_REGISTERED is an NTSTATUS value used by the Windows RPC runtime. RPC manager types associate object-specific dispatch with a type UUID. This status means the runtime already contains the manager type being registered. The duplicate is therefore at the type-registration layer, not necessarily at the individual object-registration layer.

Compare this with RPC_NT_ALREADY_REGISTERED, which is about an object UUID. A system can legitimately have multiple objects of one manager type, but it cannot blindly repeat the same manager-type registration in the same runtime context.

A manager type registration was attempted twice
