NS_E_WMP_IMAPI_MEDIA_INCOMPATIBLE

The recorder and inserted medium are incompatible

NS_E_WMP_IMAPI_MEDIA_INCOMPATIBLE (0xC00D11E6) means the current disc cannot be used successfully by the selected recording drive, commonly because of media type or supported write-speed mismatch.

Compare drive and medium capabilities

Record recorder model/firmware, physical media type, blank/finalized state, advertised speed descriptors, requested burn speed, and the IMAPI media-detection result. Do not infer compatibility from disc diameter or marketing label alone.

Verification

Insert a known-compatible blank medium and select a speed both drive and disc support, then start the same burn. If recording begins but cannot maintain the data stream, preserve the later streaming/buffer result rather than continuing to label the media incompatible.
