NS_E_INVALID_VIDEO_HEIGHT
The output height itself is invalid
NS_E_INVALID_VIDEO_HEIGHT (0xC00D1BC4) means the vertical dimension fails codec/profile range validation. This is distinct from an alignment error: the numeric height may be too small, too large, zero after cropping, or otherwise unsupported even if it is properly aligned.
Trace how height was derived
Record source height, crop/top-bottom margins, scaling result, pixel-aspect processing, and the final value passed to the profile. Validate the final encoder value rather than the preview window size.
Correction
Choose a height within the documented range for the selected codec and keep width and bitrate fixed for the retest. If the new value is in range but violates a block/alignment rule, the alignment-specific HRESULT should then surface.
