NS_E_INVALID_VIDEO_BUFFERMAX
The maximum video buffer value is invalid
NS_E_INVALID_VIDEO_BUFFERMAX (0xC00D1BCA) is a profile-validation error for the configured maximum video buffer size. It does not say the input file or physical memory is corrupt.
Record the rate-control values together
Capture codec/format, video bitrate, peak bitrate, buffer size, maximum buffer setting, VBR mode, and audience index. Pay special attention to unit conversion if the profile is generated by code.
Fix one constraint
Set the maximum buffer value to a range valid for the selected codec and rate-control mode, then validate the same profile again. Keep resolution and codec unchanged during this test. If validation next rejects peak bitrate or ordinary buffer size, that new HRESULT identifies the next profile constraint.
