MF_E_TRANSFORM_STREAM_INVALID_RESOLUTION
MF_E_TRANSFORM_STREAM_INVALID_RESOLUTION is a stream-content resolution failure with explicit processing semantics: after the invalid or illegal resolution is detected, output should stop on the next ProcessOutput call.
Compare coded stream dimensions with negotiated media-type dimensions
- Log
MF_MT_FRAME_SIZEfrom the input media type and the dimensions parsed from codec headers or format-change information. - Record the sample timestamp and byte offset where the decoder first detected the new or invalid dimensions.
- Check transform-specific maximum coded width/height, alignment, profile, and dynamic-format-change restrictions.
Do not continue presenting stale decoded frames as though the stream remained valid. Also distinguish this code from a normal MF_E_TRANSFORM_STREAM_CHANGE: a supported format change can be renegotiated, while this HRESULT says the detected resolution is invalid or illegal for the transform.
