Correct both vt and the matching union member; changing only the cast in application code is insufficient.
Avoiding a false diagnosis
Changing a queue ACL or restarting the service does not correct an invalid identifier, VARTYPE, value, structure, or property combination. Code-specific condition: MQPROPVARIANT type mismatch.
Example
Log the property identifier, vt, and the MQPROPVARIANT union member that was actually populated. A numerically plausible value in the wrong variant arm remains a type mismatch even if an application cast made the source compile.
