Move the property to the supported create/get/set operation instead of changing its type.
Differences that matter
Changing a queue ACL or restarting the service does not correct an invalid identifier, VARTYPE, value, structure, or property combination. Code-specific condition: property valid, operation invalid.
Practical scenario
Record which MSMQ operation submitted the property—create, query, or update—together with the property identifier. A property can have the correct type and value yet still be unsupported in that operation, so changing its VARTYPE would diagnose the wrong condition.
