STATUS_CLUSTER_NODE_UP

The cluster reports the node as Up

STATUS_CLUSTER_NODE_UP reports that a node is already Up when the current operation expects a different state. It is usually a precondition result: the caller must decide whether the operation is stale, targeted at the wrong node, or incompatible with an active node.

Being Up does not mean the node owns the workload you expect, and it does not make every maintenance operation safe. Confirm resource placement and drain state before applying actions designed for an offline or paused member.

Use Get-ClusterNode to confirm node state and identity.
Check role ownership before maintenance or failover operations.
Avoid forcing a state transition solely to satisfy an outdated automation precondition.
