STATUS_ACPI_INVALID_EVENTTYPE
STATUS_ACPI_INVALID_EVENTTYPE indicates that an event operation was given a class or category that the ACPI event model does not accept in that context. ACPI distinguishes fixed events, general-purpose events and other event mechanisms, each with its own declaration and handling model.
It is not a report that a valid handler failed at runtime. First determine the requested event kind and registration API or AML object; then compare it with the event block or notification mechanism available on the platform.
The requested ACPI event category was not valid
- Record the event category, event number or identifier, and whether the request concerns a fixed event, GPE, GPIO or another ACPI event path.
- Check the relevant FADT or device event declarations and the lifecycle point at which registration was attempted.
- Separate this status from
STATUS_ACPI_REG_HANDLER_FAILED, which concerns failure of the registration operation itself.
