STATUS_ACPI_ALREADY_INITIALIZED
STATUS_ACPI_ALREADY_INITIALIZED is a lifecycle state result. A caller attempted an initialization operation after the relevant ACPI subsystem or component had already reached its initialized state. It does not by itself identify corrupted AML, a faulty device or a failed power transition.
The useful question is why initialization was invoked twice: duplicate driver startup, retry logic that did not preserve state, a teardown path that did not reset ownership, or an incorrect assumption about boot/resume lifecycle. The first successful initialization and the second request should be traced as a pair.
An ACPI component was initialized twice
- Record the initial initializer, the repeated caller and the component state observed at both points.
- Check boot, resume and device re-enumeration paths for repeated initialization without matching teardown.
- Do not confuse this status with
STATUS_ACPI_NOT_INITIALIZED, which indicates an operation attempted before its prerequisite initialization.
