STATUS_ACPI_INVALID_MUTEX_LEVEL
STATUS_ACPI_INVALID_MUTEX_LEVEL concerns synchronization ordering in AML. AML mutexes carry synchronization-level semantics so that nested acquisitions and releases follow a defined ordering discipline. The status indicates that the mutex operation is incompatible with that level relationship, rather than merely that a mutex is busy.
To diagnose it, preserve the held-mutex set and the acquisition or release sequence. A simple list of mutex names is not enough: the order, nesting and owning method path determine whether the interpreter sees a level violation.
An AML mutex synchronization-level rule was violated
- Record the requested mutex, its declared synchronization level and the levels of mutexes already held by the AML execution context.
- Capture the acquire/release nesting sequence and the control-method call chain.
- Separate this result from
STATUS_ACPI_MUTEX_NOT_OWNEDandSTATUS_ACPI_MUTEX_NOT_OWNER, which are ownership-state failures.
