STATUS_GRAPHICS_INVALID_MONITOR_FREQUENCYRANGE
One range failed validation
This status identifies an invalid individual frequency-range descriptor. The surrounding set can exist and be valid, while one range has impossible boundaries, incompatible timing assumptions, or fields that do not form a valid monitor constraint.
Do not merge it with an unsupported target mode. A target may advertise valid ranges yet still reject a candidate mode for other cofunctional or path constraints. Capture the complete range descriptor and the candidate timing that was tested against it.
Inspect the range boundary data
- Record the minimum and maximum horizontal and vertical limits, pixel-clock or timing constraints, and the units in use.
- Check ordered bounds and conversion from EDID or driver-private capability data.
- Compare this with
STATUS_GRAPHICS_FREQUENCYRANGE_NOT_IN_SET, which does not say the range is malformed.
