STATUS_GRAPHICS_UAB_NOT_SUPPORTED
PVP-UAB protection is not supported on this graphics path
STATUS_GRAPHICS_UAB_NOT_SUPPORTED is a Windows NTSTATUS value from the graphics/display facility. In this group, the status is tied to protected video output, OPM/COPP compatibility, PVP certificate validation, output-protection hardware, or the monitor configuration path.
PVP-UAB refers to protected handling of premium content as it crosses a user-accessible bus, historically relevant to discrete graphics paths where content may traverse PCI Express. This status means the protected media path needed that class of protection, but the display adapter, bus path, driver, or current configuration does not support it.
This is different from failing to enable HDCP on the external connector. HDCP protects the signal leaving the connector; UAB concerns protected transfer before the signal reaches the output engine. Diagnose the bus and adapter topology separately from the monitor link and the OPM output-protection level.
What to check
- Record whether the adapter is integrated, discrete, hybrid, or behind a removable/dock path.
- Separate UAB capability from HDCP/DPCP capability on the physical connector.
- Check protected-media and display-driver logs for a missing bus-encryption capability rather than retrying OPM HDCP commands only.
