STATUS_GRAPHICS_OPM_NO_PROTECTED_OUTPUTS_EXIST
STATUS_GRAPHICS_OPM_NO_PROTECTED_OUTPUTS_EXIST means that a request requiring an existing protected output was made for a GDI display device that currently has none. It is different from a protected output that cannot enable HDCP: the object whose state would be inspected or changed does not exist in this context.
OPM treats outputs as objects associated with the video path. A playback stack may need to enumerate the relevant physical outputs, create the protected-output objects for the active display path, and only then query status or configure protection.
Diagnostic boundary
- Verify that the request is aimed at the same active display device used for protected playback.
- Check whether the protected-output creation step succeeded and whether a display-topology change removed it afterwards.
- Do not interpret this as proof that the monitor is non-HDCP; no protected-output object was available to make that determination.
