Windows WLAN auto-configuration is controlling the Native 802.11 setting

STATUS_NDIS_DOT11_AUTO_CONFIG_ENABLED appears when a wireless parameter change conflicts with automatic WLAN configuration. Native 802.11 miniports expose operation mode and media-specific OIDs, but Windows components may own scanning, connection, roaming, and profile-driven configuration while auto-config is enabled.

The fix is not to force the same OID repeatedly. Identify whether the caller is a driver, management service, test tool, or vendor utility trying to override a setting that WLAN AutoConfig or policy controls. Use the supported WLAN profile or driver model path instead of racing the auto-config owner.
