STATUS_HV_INVALID_HYPERCALL_INPUT

The hypercall control word is not a valid encoding for this call

STATUS_HV_INVALID_HYPERCALL_INPUT is an ABI-level rejection of the hypercall input encoding. It is different from a bad payload field: the hypervisor could not interpret the control information that identifies the calling convention, call code, rep form, or related control bits.

For memory-based calls, inspect the control word together with the documented call class. For rep calls, record the rep count and start index; a status may be returned after only part of a list was processed, and the completed-count information is needed to determine what was already applied. Do not replay an entire list blindly when a partial call may have succeeded.
