STATUS_HV_INSUFFICIENT_BUFFERS

The destination message queue has no buffer available

STATUS_HV_INSUFFICIENT_BUFFERS has a specific meaning for HvCallPostMessage: the destination port has no available guest message buffers. It is a queue-capacity condition at the receiving endpoint, not a proof that the caller allocated too little memory for its input structure.

Measure producer rate, guest consumption latency, buffer release behavior, and the destination VP/SynIC health. Retrying without back-pressure can amplify the condition. A sender should preserve ordering requirements and distinguish an unqueued message from a message that was accepted but whose later processing failed.
