STATUS_HV_INVALID_REGISTER_VALUE

A register write violates the Hyper-V register definition

STATUS_HV_INVALID_REGISTER_VALUE indicates that the register selector was accepted but the supplied value is not valid in the current Hyper-V context. Register fields can contain reserved-zero bits, feature-dependent values, architecture-specific encodings, or state-dependent controls.

Capture the register name, the full value, target partition/VP/VTL context, and the interface feature data used to construct it. Masking unknown bits without checking the register definition can hide a compatibility problem and produce a configuration that differs from what the caller intended.
