STATUS_VOLMGR_DISK_MISSING

The pack expects a member that is not currently available

This is an inventory and availability condition in the dynamic-disk configuration. It is not equivalent to a filesystem path-not-found error, because the missing item can affect pack quorum and the layout of spanned, striped, mirrored, or RAID-5 volumes.

Locate the member before altering metadata

Record the missing disk identifier, pack identifier, expected bus or enclosure path, recent removals, and whether the disk is attached to another host or appears as foreign. Avoid deleting the member record merely to silence the status; first determine whether the device can be safely returned or imported as part of the original disk group.
