STATUS_VOLMGR_PACK_LOG_UPDATE_FAILED
The configuration update trail did not complete
A pack-log update belongs to the dynamic-disk configuration path. This is not the same as an application log failure and does not tell whether user-file writes succeeded; it means the metadata operation could not complete its pack-level log update.
Preserve ordering and current membership
Record the operation that preceded the failure, pack identity, current state, quorum, member disks, and all Volume Manager or storage events. Before retrying, determine whether the earlier operation is visible on any member. Avoid stacking further topology changes onto an uncertain configuration update.
