ERROR_VHD_BITMAP_MISMATCH
ERROR_VHD_BITMAP_MISMATCH means the virtual disk allocation bitmap does not agree with the block data that is present. Windows cannot safely determine which blocks contain valid data.
What to do
- Treat the disk as structurally corrupted and protect the original from further writes.
- Check the host storage and any interrupted snapshot, copy, or merge operation that occurred before the error.
- Prefer restoring an internally consistent backup chain over attempting normal Hyper-V operations on the affected disk.
