Record the physical medium and required format

Read the detected media type and enumerate recorder profiles.
Call IsRecorderSupported and IsCurrentMediaSupported for the exact data, erase, TAO, or raw format object.
Try known compatible media rather than changing the file-system image first.

The failure precedes interpretation of the data stream to be burned. ISO layout, source filenames, and stream length cannot make an unknown physical medium become compatible. If a disc works in another drive, compare the two drives' supported/current profiles and product revisions.
