IMAPI_E_BAD_MULTISESSION_PARAMETER
IMAPI_E_BAD_MULTISESSION_PARAMETER indicates that IMAPI could not retrieve a required parameter from the supplied multisession object or received a value with the wrong shape or range. Multisession interfaces carry recorder/media-specific session information used to position and build the next image.
Validate the provenance of the multisession interface object
- Use interfaces returned by the current
IDiscFormat2Datainstance rather than custom or stale objects. - Discard the interface list after changing recorder or media.
- Log the multisession interface class and the point at which it was obtained before passing it to
IFileSystemImage.
This error is more specific than “no compatible type”: an interface was accepted far enough for IMAPI to inspect its parameters, but one required value could not be used. Retrying the same object does not change those parameters. Reacquire media/session state and verify that the data writer and filesystem image describe the same disc and recorder.
