STATUS_SPACES_LOG_NOT_READY

The status refers to a Storage Spaces logging dependency needed by the provider, not to the Windows Event Log service. A layout-changing or recovery operation can require its storage-side log to be ready before the provider will proceed. Retrying rapidly without examining the pool state can turn a transient readiness condition into a harder-to-read failure sequence.
What to inspect
- Check the storage pool and virtual-disk operational state, active jobs, and any preceding provider errors.
- Verify that all required pool members are visible and in a state suitable for the pending operation.
- Do not remove, reset, or reinitialize members simply to clear the status; first determine whether the provider is recovering or waiting for a missing dependency.
