What does Intel IPP status -194 (ippStsSparseErr) mean?

Previous Next
ippStsSingularErr ippStsBitOffsetErr

ippStsSparseErr

Sparse filtering uses explicit tap positions instead of a dense coefficient vector. IPP reports this status when those positions are not a valid sparse impulse-response description.

Look for duplicate, negative or unsorted positions before investigating the samples. The coefficient values can be numerically valid while the sparse layout is still unusable.
