ippStsMP3SideInfoErr
MP3 side information describes how compressed spectral data is organized for each granule and channel. It includes fields used for bit reservoir handling, region boundaries, scale-factor selection and Huffman decoding.
This status usually means the frame header may have been read, but the following side-info block is inconsistent with the selected MPEG layer/version or channel mode.
Diagnostic focus
- Record the MPEG version and channel mode because they change side-info length.
- Check bit-reservoir fields and main-data offsets around the failing frame.
- Look for truncated transport packets or a parser that started in the middle of a frame.
