The parser entered a CDATA section after <![CDATA[ and did not find ]]> before the input ended or became unrecoverable. Content that looks like markup inside CDATA is treated as text until that exact terminator appears.
Parser boundary
XML gives CDATA its own section production. The closing sequence is structural and cannot be replaced by an element end tag; likewise, an accidental CDATA opener can make a large remainder of the manifest appear to be text.
What to inspect
- Find the opening
<![CDATA[before the trace location and verify that the exact]]>terminator exists. - Check generated text for a truncation that removed the end of the section or split the closing delimiter across faulty concatenation.
- If CDATA was not intended, remove the accidental opener and encode reserved text characters with normal XML escaping.
The first parse event in sxstrace identifies the manifest; inspect from the last CDATA opener forward because the reported failure can appear at end of file.
