ERROR_DELETING_EXISTING_APPLICATIONDATA_STORE_FAILED occurs while deployment attempts to delete the package’s previous application-data store. The store can include local, roaming, temporary, and settings containers associated with the package identity. Open files, access restrictions, profile problems, or storage errors can prevent the cleanup.
Identify the affected user and stop all application, background-task, and broker activity for the package. Check profile and file-system errors before retrying. When data must be reset intentionally, use application-data or package-management APIs that understand the package identity; deleting arbitrary directories can leave registration and state repositories inconsistent.
