STATUS_PROCESS_NOT_IN_JOB

The process is not a member of the queried job

Job objects manage groups of processes and can enforce limits or receive notifications for their members. This successful status reports a negative membership result for a particular process and job. It should not be treated like an invalid process handle or a failure to query the job.

Compare the exact job object with the process being tested. A process can be in a different job, and modern Windows supports nested job hierarchies. Child-process breakaway settings can also change expected membership. Use the caller's job handle and process ID in logs instead of recording only a Boolean conclusion.
