ippStsWrongIntersectQuad
Non-intersection is not the same as invalid geometry
ippStsWrongIntersectQuad is returned when the quadrangle or its transformed image does not overlap the source or destination ROI. The operation is skipped. A degenerate, self-intersecting, or otherwise illegal quadrangle is a different condition and normally has a dedicated geometry error.
This distinction helps locate the fault: the vertices may describe a perfectly valid shape in the wrong coordinate space, with the wrong origin, or after an incorrect transform composition.
What to inspect
- Plot all four vertices together with the source image, destination image, and active ROI.
- Verify vertex order, coordinate units, and whether offsets were applied before or after the transform.
- Compare the quadrangle's bounding box with the ROI, but also perform polygon clipping when edge-only overlap matters.
- Do not retry unchanged geometry; correct the mapping or intentionally skip the tile.
