SOC_CRITICAL_DEVICE_REMOVED
The SOC_CRITICAL_DEVICE_REMOVED bug check has a value of 0x0000014E. This indicates that a critical SOC device has been unexpectedly removed or failed.
SOC_CRITICAL_DEVICE_REMOVED Parameters
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| 1 | When available, indicates the ID of the device which was removed (4 character packed code) |
| 2 | Reserved |
| 3 | Reserved |
| 4 | Reserved |
Diagnostic focus
When parameter 1 contains a packed device ID, decode it first and map it to the SoC component. Correlate the removal with firmware, power-domain, bus, and platform telemetry. The failure is specifically the loss of a device Windows considers critical, so normal surprise-removal handling is insufficient.
