ERROR_RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND
The cluster cannot resolve the requested resource object
MS-CMRP allows a client to open a cluster resource by resource name or ID. This status means that resolution failed for the requested object. It is not a resource health result and does not indicate that a known resource merely went offline.
The error is especially useful when automation keeps stale resource names after a clustered role was rebuilt or renamed. Enumerate current resources from the active cluster rather than assuming a name from a previous node or deployment.
What to inspect
- Compare the exact resource name used by the caller with Get-ClusterResource output; group names and resource names are different namespaces.
- Check whether the role was recreated and received a different resource identity or display name.
- For remote management, confirm that the query reached the intended cluster and not another environment with the same role naming convention.
