ERROR_CLUSTER_NODE_ALREADY_MEMBER
An add-node operation was requested for a node that the cluster already recognizes as a member. The node may still be Down or Paused, so check state before deciding whether any recovery is required.
Query the node’s current cluster state and configuration before treating the add as failed. If the goal was recovery, resume or repair the existing membership instead of creating a second membership record.
What to check
- Use the node inventory to verify member state, node ID, and whether the request targeted the correct cluster.
- If a prior add attempt appears incomplete, inspect logs before removing or re-adding the node.
- Avoid duplicate deployment workflows that repeatedly add the same server.
