ERROR_QUORUM_DISK_NOT_FOUND
The configured quorum disk is missing from the cluster storage view
This code is specific to a disk-based quorum configuration. The Cluster service expects the quorum disk but cannot locate it as required. The problem can be storage presentation, path failure, cluster disk discovery, or stale quorum configuration after storage changes.
First confirm that the cluster is actually configured to use a disk witness. Modern clusters can use file share or cloud witnesses, and applying disk troubleshooting to those modes wastes time.
What to inspect
- Run Get-ClusterQuorum and identify the current witness type and resource name.
- If a disk witness is configured, verify that the shared disk is visible and consistently presented to the required cluster nodes.
- Review storage and FailoverClustering events before changing quorum; if the disk was intentionally retired, reconfigure the witness through supported tools.
