ERROR_CLUSTER_GROUP_MOVING
ERROR_CLUSTER_GROUP_MOVING means a clustered role is currently moving between nodes and cannot accept the requested operation. The correct action is usually to wait for the move to complete and diagnose the original failover if it does not.
Track the role until it reaches Online, Offline, or Failed on a specific node. If it remains in transition, the resource that blocks the move and its dependency events are more useful than another move request.
What to check
- Check the group state and current owner node.
- Review dependent resource states to determine whether the move is progressing or blocked.
- Do not issue competing move, offline, or configuration commands while the role is transitioning.
