ERROR_TXF_ATTRIBUTE_CORRUPT

TxF cannot parse the transactional metadata attached to this filesystem object

ERROR_TXF_ATTRIBUTE_CORRUPT is a Transactional NTFS (TxF) file-system status. MS-FSCC identifies transactional NTFS data as an NTFS attribute type, and TxF exposes controls to retrieve transactional metadata. This status means the metadata associated with the file or directory is unreadable or structurally corrupt. It is more specific than corruption of ordinary file contents and more local than a CLFS log-sector error.

Record the file identity, volume, and any preceding storage, repair, or restore events. Query the TxF resource-manager state and preserve filesystem and event-log evidence before running repair or restoring data. If the object came from backup, verify that TxF backup information was handled through the documented controls. Do not patch the attribute bytes or copy metadata from a healthy file; transactional identifiers and recovery state are object-specific.
