ERROR_CTX_WINSTATION_NAME_INVALID
ERROR_CTX_WINSTATION_NAME_INVALID means the requested Remote Desktop Services session or listener name does not match a valid local session object. The failure can be caused by a typo, using a display label instead of the actual session name, or referring to a session that has already ended.
What to check
- List the sessions on the target host and use the exact session ID or session name returned by the server.
- For scripted administration, do not reuse a cached ID after a user has signed out or reconnected.
- Confirm that the command targets the intended RD Session Host when an RDS deployment contains several hosts.
