ERROR_CTX_INVALID_WD
ERROR_CTX_INVALID_WD means the terminal connection driver selected by the RDS configuration is invalid for the current host. It is a server component/configuration issue, not an indication that the user entered incorrect credentials.
What to check
- Check the earliest TerminalServices and System events for the component or configuration change that made the driver invalid.
- Verify the Session Host role and relevant Windows servicing state.
- Avoid editing driver or service registrations manually; restore the supported RDS configuration or repair the role installation.
