DNS_ERROR_NO_BOOTFILE_IF_DS_ZONE

AD-integrated zone data is not managed through the normal zone boot file

Windows DNS can load file-backed zones from persistent files, but directory-integrated zones are represented by dnsZone and dnsNode objects and replicate through AD DS. MS-DNSP initialization explicitly distinguishes loading local persistent storage from loading directory-backed objects in application directory partitions.

Inspect the zone storage mode and the management operation that is trying to create, read, or depend on a boot file. For an AD-integrated zone, use directory-aware zone management and export operations when a file copy is needed. Do not assume that editing a historical .dns file will update the live directory-integrated zone or its replicas.
