DNS_ERROR_INVAILD_VIRTUALIZATION_INSTANCE_NAME

The DNS virtualization instance identifier is invalid

The constant preserves the historical INVAILD spelling, but the condition concerns the identifier passed to the virtualization instance management operation. MS-DNSP explicitly validates the length of pwszVirtualizationID when creating or updating an instance and returns this status when the allowed maximum is exceeded.

Log the exact identifier after configuration expansion and serialization. Do not validate only the friendly name: the protocol structure carries the virtualization ID as a distinct field, while friendly name and description are updateable instance properties. If an automation system derives IDs from tenant names, apply a stable length and character policy before calling the DNS Server API.
